That's actually pretty funny.Reminds me of a space simulation game (one of those sandbox ones with exploration/trade/etc.) where I tried out a ... free.... version before buying it. A few hours in I noticed my money kept going down without me doing anything in terms of spending. It was an anti-piracy feature.

It's really funny when devs do things like this. XD

Unless the pirater is Chinese/Japanese/Korean (I can't tell the languages from these 3 lol), have you noticed that all of the letters are in Chinese/Japanese/Korean?And best troll from EA.

@Snackys @sarahzsmyl well that sim's emotion is "陽気" which can mean cheerful (the sim is in a playful mood too)
and the day of the week is "土曜日" which is saturday sooooooo i'd lean towards that being a japanese Sims 4 copy :P

edit (as i was typing): I found an enlarged photo and theres a mouseover on the notification icon that says "oshirase bo-do"

This is just a semantics but calling it "fixed"on the pirates version only gives validity to what they are doing. I don't disagree with anyone's over all intentioned post of who is using it, just that particular word may not be the best thing. You fix what's broken. They're only breaking it further.

I normally wouldn't even speak up but over the last 15 years I've come to feel very strongly about this matter.

I love when they do this. It's a much wittier way to avoid piracy. They did this kind of move for one of the batman games, I believe, where they disabled his flight in pirated copies of the game therefore making it imposible to progress. xD
