Of course people who don't own TS4 should be allowed to comment. I don't own it but I have played it, and HATE it. I played it at a friend's house when it first came out, and with the recent free download I tried it again. Was even worse than I remembered and I couldn't uninstall it fast enough.
I loved the first Sims, TS2, and TS3. 2 and 3 were amazing for the years when they were released, and 4 seemed like a huge step backwards to me. I'll play 3 until 5 comes out, if ever, and will also play my RPGs and MMOs. One with graphics that don't look like children's cheap cartoons.
