Looking Into Gaming Computers

So I'm looking for a laptop that I can play TS4 on with Ultra settings. Would this one be a good choice?

I'm not trying to go for the most expensive, but I would like something that may last several years with the increasing graphics demands on games. I also play Final Fantasy and similar RPG games at times, but The Sims has always been a mainstay.

  • Unfortunately, I can’t really help you on this one. What I will do, though, is comment here to bump your thread to the front page so others can see it and someone else can help you.

Very nice laptop and I see no reason why you cannot play with ultra settings. The 2070 is an very good card and while some companies do not use Ray trancing that may change soon. I have the 2070 for my desktop and I love it as I can play what I throw at it (not like I couldn't with the card I replaced) However as far as the model on the laptop read the reviews not just from the company selling it as it is known some reviews are paid reviews, see if you can get reviews outside of the company. CyberpowerPC is an reputable company but still need to do your homework. I would get it myself but I do not use 15.6" screens it has to be 17 inches or better which raises the cost up more. Keep this in mind and see if you can get one cheaper even though the 2070 is an newer card and its cost is reflected in that price and I believe the CPU is new as well as it replaces the 8750H and is 9 generation of the i7.:)

Thank you both. I'm looking at specs more right now, as I think I'd prefer to get something in store versus through the mail. I look at specs, a lot, and quite honestly they fry my brain looking at them. I wouldn't just pull the trigger and buy this, its too much money to be doing that, lol!! It takes me 6 months of research just to buy cars. I've been looking at gaming computers off and on for about two years. I finally decided I didn't want a desktop and would prefer a laptop as long as the graphics card isn't integrated. I will use this as more of a guide for what specs to look for. I don't actually plan to buy anything until November/December as a Christmas gift to myself.
  • the screen width does not affect game performance or make a computer better/worse. thats just personal preference.
