LoveStruck Negative Thread 2.0

Oh dude. We know what this means. We saw it in the For Rent livestream.

The whole livestream was low-energy, and the hosts looked like they were there against their will. Definitely the worst one I’ve seen so far. 

translation: "the pack is broken"

I don't understand why they don't add them when doing parks like that, or something that makes it more functional.  For this, a romance pack, it seems eve more of a glaring omission, just as it did with Tartosa. What I would have liked to see on those trails: 

• Walk the trail (go on your own, enjoy the scenery, get a moodlet or two depending on the situation and your mood as you walk in, in a pack like this maybe you could reflect on your relationship or get over a break-up or feel even more lost after loosing your partner)
• Take a romantic stroll (go together with a partner, hold hands, talk, cuddle, look at what you see around you)
• Walk the trail together (group activity, people will walk and talk, kids can run on ahead and return back)
• Jog the trail
• Jog the tail together (where you stretch and talk after the jog and job next to each other)
• Walk your dog along the trail
• Ride along the trail (alone and together) 
• Ride a bike along the trail (alone or together)
  
  

Also, make sure there are areas along the way so you can have that picknick, fish a little in a pond, play with your dog, watch your kids on a playground, play in a fountain... and make sure that NPC use the area too so it doesn't feel dead. 

"But you got a recolor of two objects you already have four or five different versions of...you mean you want something...new? Eww!" 😝

It doesn’t matter about what people really like in real life. It’s about what they thinks is acceptable to people and what is going to get people angry or not. What might ensue a boycott or just bad press. 

Race was never going to be touched. Or did people forget what happened with snowy escape?

But everything else I don’t really get. I don’t see the difference between hair color and eye color. Hair length , facial hair, piercings, tattoos. 

Watching the game changer videos, and this pack is definitely not an expansion pack.

Even when I judge it against growing together, it’s smaller than that pack.

I just feel like there’s so many miss opportunities. And I am so disappointed with the turn on/off which is something that I’ve been wanting for years. The lack of physical toto is ridiculous. And the omission of occults as someone who doesn’t even play with them is mind boggling.

There’s some things I really love, but I’m on the fence about getting this now or waiting for later.

I wish they would’ve included apartments, walking trail, a new lot type, maybe a singles event, a couple new gameplay objects.

I would have liked a few things for Sims to do together. There’s  not a lot of those. A lot of activities sims just due at the same time but they’re not doing it with eachother.

or just knock off a couple of lots and call it a game pack. Something doesn’t add up. 

I won't buy this pack anytime soon because it doesn't interest me, it's another GP cross-dressing as an EP, and and and... But I agree with everything you say about the new forum. Even after finding out how to switch from most liked to newest posts, it still annoys me that I have to do this every time. It doesn't help that the site gets slower and slower the more I keep scrolling, and clicking the notification bell now opens a completely new page instead of a drop-down list. So confusing, so slow! Even if they add a Mass Effect forum, something I've wanted for a long time, I'm probably not going to use it if it works like this one.

Sorry for the off-topic rant, this is the thread to hate on the Lovestruck GP, not the forum. But if other people have similar problems as me, then no one will read this anyway, it will go down in a flood of more liked posts within a few hours.

So, the worst part of everything that I’ve seen is that I know, without a shadow of doubt, that our voices will not be heard, our grievances will be ignored, and our concerns will go disregarded and unimplemented. No matter how loud or far-reaching our voices get, it simply will do nothing. I fully understand that the company, EA, needs to make money and I will not refute that, but this entire pack reeks of laziness and rushed content.

Let me break it down.

There is so much bloat within Build & Buy I am convinced they padded out the number. A curved window, an open window, a closed window, a mirror, the same mirror with some photos, a copy and pasted bin from City Living, and the same bin barrel that’s in, like, four packs. I may have missed some, but why, at the stage we are, can you not click a window and open it? Oh, right, that means more stuff needs to be done opposed to just altering the mesh in Blender just a smidgen. Beyond this, for Create-A-Sim, the men’s clothes are once again worthless and uninspiring. I understand that a lot of players are women, but can we please get an even split of 50/50 for Create-A-Sim and not the current 80/20 we have in favour of women? Half the clothing for men in this pack would be better suited in a dungeon of some sorts rather than going on a romantic date. What, no new suits? Really? Not a pair of fashionable suit shorts, either? Odd.

In terms of gameplay, the whole pack looks to be lazy, uninspired, and, well, lazy. I had to put it twice because, honestly, it is legit a reworded system used from another pack. The only decent thing is the dating app and oh boy is that worse than some of the current mods out there. Why not just look at Tinder and Grindr for inspiration? There is this whole Simstagram system in place and they decided to go for another HUD instead of actual gameplay elements. C’mon. Nah.

On the topic, why do I have to micromanage my date? Why has every playthrough been the same where I must select activities? I don’t want to do all that – the option is nice, but let me just let it run wild.

And my last point because I have no idea how these new ‘forums’ manage character limit. Where are the tun-ons and turn-offs? I’m sorry, but outfit colour is not a viable option. Can we please step away from the happiness simulator for a moment and let me choose whether my Sim likes skinny people or overweight people? Again this ties into the garbage dating app they added and makes the pack worth even less. Why can I not choose, “Sorry, no skinny Sims!”

Blah, blah, blah. I have the other usual. Why more tutorial aspirations, why new traits when no one will use them because we’re limited to three and seeking love is not a personality trait.

This pack is, honestly, a game pack being sold as an expansion pack and that’s gross.

The bed can actually vibrate!

I agree about the TOTO though, things like make up, piercings, beards, body hair, glasses would have been nice and realistic without being problematic. I wish they would have added more.

But I also think it's difficult to judge this pack without playing (or having seen longer let's plays). If the new romance features actually change how difficult relationships are and how they feel, this is a big plus for me (but it's a more subtle thing than gameplay objects). But I'm also afraid that they messed up things, hard to to tell right now 😅

Hmm, GRO actually feels smaller to me. It feels as if it came with Infants, since they were new at the time, but besides the Social Compatibility and Dynamics there are only the Milestones as another big feature.

But I also don't understand why there are no occult TOTO. This seems to be easy to implement and quite important for storytelling 🙁
