Your first question is just dependent on the person. If you see yourself using a lot of what' in this pack? Then yeah, if not or not going to contribute a lot to your gameplay? Then don't get it. Sales can make it worth it less you're really not gonna use a lot of the pack at all then you just spent $20 on CAS and build/buy. Why I felt like Horse Ranch was maybe at best a game pack than a expansion, since outside of horses there's not much else besides nectar and nectar making.
My sims are often going on dates more often or using the dating app to go on blind dates (which some are pretty funny to do.) The new romance options and the sweetheart boxes probably my favorite in the pack.
Nothing too intrusive. Might see couples stargazing on certain lots on a bench and being romantic (forgot if this was tied to a lot trait or not), but nothing I won't notice a lot of less there's a bunch of benches around like say a park or something. Game is focused on love, dating and turn ons/turn offs. What I do find good about the gameplay feature in attraction is that sims don't seem to flirt or be interested in sims they are unattracted to. Remember long time back I was frustrated with sims flirting with anyone, but with more established preferences it doesn't happen and they usually reject any advances if a another sim is interested in them.
Would invest in a new computer/laptop eventually. I did some years ago and haven't looked back with faster processor and graphics card to handle this game and a lot more. Even if they were to come out with the next installment of the game it's more than likely gonna demand higher specs for the game to which investing in a new computer would be good. Least that's how I feel.
