Yes. When you return home after visiting a community lot in 1 and 2, everything is just as when you left. If you leave at 8 pm, party till 4 am and return home, still is 8 pm. HOWEVER, in The Sims 2 if you go to dine from 8 pm to 11 pm and then go to a nightclub, when you arrive at the nightclub it'll be 11 pm. Time is kept consistent only between community lots. The only place when time is kept consistent between "residential" and community lots is the University (if I'm not mistaken, I haven't played in a while). There's a mod that sorta fixes this issue for The Sims 2.
