Umm Cinebar, I don't get what you mean. My sims in Strangerville have come across infected sims, I call that something unexpected happening. Another gave my sim a bizarre fruit autonomously. It's not just a big nice quiet world like Lucky Palms. You can go to to a secret lab.. there's just something eerie in the air of Strangerville.
