People are already asking the Murphy Bed to be nerfed, because of the risk that it could kill your Sims. The Murphy Bed thing existed since the Sims 2, and the risks were still there. That makes the game more fun, because there are risks involved, and your Sims can warn other Sims of the risk.
As for the occult Sims, I love being an occult player. I tend to have all my families either full on occult, or at least one family member being the member of the occult. I love being able to create an occult Sim from the CAS.
People who complain about the vampires breaking in do realize that they can lock the door, right? Also, being visited by any of the vampire Sims is actually pretty nice if you want to turn your Sim into a Vampire.
All my games have a mix of occult, and normal Sims, it makes the whole thing more fun.
Also, what's the point of the having the occult, when they are just getting nerfed anyway? Aliens abducted Sims which made it fun, and people got it nerfed, because it happened "too often." I bought the pack shortly after that happened, and it sucked the fun out of that. Strays got nerfed, so my Sims have to go to the world that came with pets to look for strays, or adopt a pet over the phone or computer.
Part of me wishes they would do what they did with the previous games, regarding the occult. In Sims 3 they had a pack dedicated solely to the occult, granted the vampires existed before it, but for a "realistic" player they could not get the Supernatural expansion.
For Sims 2, the occult was more spread out. Leader of the pack was a brown wold with glowing eyes in pets, and you had to befriend him to become a werewolf. Nightlife had Vampires, and you had to befriend the Count or Countess to become a vampire. You could cheat being a vampire, but the legit way was to befriend the vampires. Witches came with apartment life, and you could befriend a good witch or a bad witch.
I just really hope the new pack doesn't get nerfed from people complaining about it like they did the other occult parts of the game.
