Managing Households

I just moved my sim family into a new house and their dead ghost daughter is living there as well for some reason. I want to move the ghost girl out and into the graveyard (It's a residential lot). I go under manage household to split the family and for some reason they aren't listed. Am I missing something or is there another way to split a household?
