I took their comments to mean "Pronouns and whims are both never coming because they don't make us money"
My interpretation is more “we’re figuring out what it would involve to work towards updating pronouns” and “we aren’t touching whims anytime soon, if ever” so definitely more favorable towards the pronouns. I have no problem with them doing that, as long as the entire system doesn’t go neutral. It just doesn’t seem right to abandon the whole whims system a couple years in, and then claim it’s happened because of a more recent pickup in representation.
