I have never caught an actual live stream. I have only seen bits of them on Youtube. And I always liked when they popped up on there. What the heck was happening in the live streams? Why did the last one go so bad?

Cause people were mad about them giving Korean stuff for Chinese new year and not calling it specifically Chinese new years because they wanted to celebrate all of Asia. Quite a few Chinese modders announced their retirement because that and left the game.
Then they were mad about the Russian incident. Then they were mad about the wedding pack bugs back to back ?

And they were attacking the gurus in the chat over these things I take it? That really sucks. I think they should live stream and just not allow chat or something. People are sometimes really rude to the team on twitter too. People are bizarre.

Yeah there was also a dev that said smth on their personal account about how discouraged they are because their co-workers have their looks made fun of and also their demeanor or energy criticized and etc.

Honestly even outside of the chat, livestreams were plagued with problems. A few times, the Gurus were struggling to explore things, talk about what they had to cover, weren't fully prepared, or weren't used to speaking in public. You had to find the right Gurus for the job, and even then you'd probably need to plan things out. On top of that, it was common for the game to glitch up royally in a stream. It's a bad look when what you're trying to advertise doesn't even work correctly.

That is disgusting. Some people are horrible. They aren't actors, or influencers trading on their looks, and charisma for crying out loud; as if that isn't all bull anyway.. They are real people. Honestly if they didn't show up looking like me, or my neighbour, and talking like a normal human I would be suspicious. This is why I am an introvert. People suck.

And it's not just here aimed at the devs, and that is bad enough. The vile things I've overheard in stores being said to staff just because the store ran out of this or that. As if the entire world exists merely to cater to these people. The sense of entitlement and the lack of compassion is unbelievable. How hard is it to just pause for a second and put yourself in the other persons shoes and choose your words with care. It's a scary world anymore.

I've rarely watched any of the livestreams, but on the rare occasions that I did, I hid the chat panel for the duration. I've always found chat in any streaming situation to be rarely interesting and almost always unpleasantly distracting. That said, while I don't think it's the SimGurus' fault because, as @Gordy mentioned, doing livestreams isn't really their job. I do think the streams could be better planned, possibly with a single designated team to handle them, maybe with occasional extra guests (if singular details about a pack are required, for example). And yes, trash talk helps no one, no matter who does it or if the underlying reasons might be based on valid concerns.

Sadly I have a family member who is like this, and it very hard to go anywhere with her. A movie, a lunch date, a stop at a store, it just doesn't matter; if anything goes wrong she feels like she needs to blame someone and let them know how angry she is. It is mortifying. I have apologized to people so many times for her behavior. She acts like the world is suppose to present itself to her ready and waiting to fulfill her wants and desires. I just don't get it...

THIS!!! So much. It is fine to have concerns as a consumer of a companies goods. It is not okay to attack someone because you feel something..

There is a Patch coming Tomorrow. One of the modders has confirmed. Got my info from Pixelade on Youtube. It makes sense though. They need a patch to get the game ready for the two kits and we're getting an SDX Wednesday. I'm not expecting very many bug fixes in this patch but I am hopeful since the Chic Kit is considered dating themed we'll get an Online Dating Feature and Attraction Feaure aka turn ons and turn offs in this patch.
