Medieval style computer

Does anyone know if there is a medieval or magic style object that would substitute for a computer. Something like a crystal ball or something that want look out of place in a medieval, magic or other non-modern setting? A modern computer just looks out of place in my spellcaster's cottage.

    The only one I know is a magical one.

    There is even an off the grid version available.

    I was actually looking for a way to write a book with actual writing animation in a book, when I came across this one. I still have yet to find one with actual writing.

    This should be perfect. It will look better than a computer that looks like a computer.
