I've always found it weird that mermaids hate eating fish. They are half human and it makes a lot more since to me that they would eat fish. They live in the ocean after all and last I checked bigger fish, dolphins, and other sea creatures still ate smaller fish. If it is just the child of the ocean trait then I can understand that. If its all mermaids though then that makes no sense.
