There's a plumbob above the mermaid's head in the render. Plus if they weren't playable the fanbase would riot. They will be playable.

The question is more if they will be fleshed out and interesting like Vampires or kind of a waste of time like PlantSims.

@Ivyeyed Oh wow... I didn't even notice the plumbob. I haven't played with the plant Sims they're not really an interest of mine. But I do love the vamps in this game and I loved mermaids in Sims 3 just hope they don't have colorful legs in this one.

I hope that they are playable and fleshed out. GTW put a lot of features which resulted to aliens felt lacking. Hopefully they chose the major features to spend time on and mermaids is one of them. I want them to be as good as Vampies.

I'm so glad they added mermaids in this! The question is: will we be able to make them in CAS?
