miracle patch
I actually haven't been playing the game, but fiddling around with sims in CAS. I'm used to patches breaking CC and stuff, and yeah, due to recent patches, there were some things I had to take out. however, the last patch somehow FIXED some of my CC.
first off, with all of my mods and CC in the mods folder, the game would take FOREVER to boot up. I'd say it could take about a half an hour. not anymore, now it takes less than ten minutes.
previously, most of my custom furniture/objects would cast weird shadows that were square. so far as I've seen, all of the shadows are fixed. also, some buggy furniture is no longer buggy even though I didn't replace them with newer versions. like I had this garden shelf someone made that, when items were placed on it, the whole thing would vanish. it doesn't do that anymore.
stuff in CAS that seemed to be buggy because of an error on the creator's part are fixed. not all of them, but some stuff I made a mental note to go fix myself. lo and behold, I look through my stuff to find the item I needed to fix, and it's already fixed.
even before I deleted a bunch of stuff I didn't need, the game has been like this. I'm not sure what i'll find when I actually go play, but man, whatever you guys did this time, it saved me a LOT of frustration. has anyone else noticed something like this?
