Missed Opportunity? (Console story mode)
I was really hoping that the Sims 4 for console would be a different game entirely, like how back when The Sims 2 was out on consoles they each had their own story modes. I'm very fond of The Sims 2 for PSP, it had lots of heart and great humor and a nice plot. Back then its graphical capabilities were on par with the PC and it was really fun being able to play the Sims on the go and control your Sims directly and not queuing tasks via point and click. Even the home console PS2/Xbox/GC versions had a story mode.
I'm not saying that The Sims 4 for consoles is necessarily bad, this is, after all, the first full port of the PC game made for consoles and I guess that's great! Although reviews suggest that there's much to be desired in the aspect of controlling the game; the way it's mapped out it's obviously a direct port of the PC game, mouse pointer and all. Wish they could've done something better for the UI on consoles.
Anyway, sorry about that segue. I can't be the only one who misses the console story modes, right? Would you like to see something like The Sims Castaway/The Sims Medieval/The Sims Stories made in The Sims 4 engine? Thanks for reading, good day to all!
