I miss the ability to make shorter books, and having more meaning to the Sim characters. I felt there was more danger, and a lot more to do in it. I'm kinda hoping others will admit they also miss plenty of stuff from 3 in hopes that they will bring some of it back in 5.I also miss comics like mad.

Seconded, come play 3! Still a big community with lots of love for this game that's more than happy to help you figure out running this mess of a game. Honestly sims 3 runs as well as 4 nowadays for me anyway! I *do* miss plenty of stuff from 3 when i play 2 or 4, that's why it's still my main game

Mostly you just need to tell the game what graphics card you have and that it's allowed to use 4gb of ram instead of 2. If playing in an ea world, ella charmed's fixes are an absolute must. For the worlds not showing up check here: documents/electronic arts/sims 3/installed worlds. are they in there? if so, delete and redownload. The game decided I'm not allowed to have any worlds once and deleted them from the selection screen but kept them in that folder. If not, check your launcher and make sure it did in fact download to the game instead of just getting chucked into your launcher. Other things about lag: nraas is an actual godsend. Error trap and over watch are absolute musts for lag. This is a great video for learning all about their mods and their many many functions. I user register to minimize lag as well just like the video shows. Can also be used to get rid of paparazzi which manage to get stuck in all kinds of weird places.

Wdym won't play on later devices?

I assume they mean that the game doesn't run on Intel 12th-gen CPU's. EA and Intel have never fixed it so you have to download a script that someone else have made to run it, which I think is not okay honestly, they should have fixed it a long time ago themselves.

My PC is used to build games, and it's at its peak right now. An update will kill playing TS3.

Well, you're spot on with that mod from Lazy Dutchess. I don't remember the last time it ever ran so smoothly!

Updating my PC is going to kill it, tho. Hopefully this issue gets fixed by someone. U doubt EA will since TS3 is old and they want money from new games.
