My Elder sim won't die....

When I first started playing I had one that wouldn't die. He was an elder married to a young adult and when the life bar was full I had them have a baby before he died, but he didn't...lol. She got old and passed on and his son got to elder status before he died. It was really weird. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. I have one right now that is still going strong even though her sister and cousin were a full life stage behind her and they are both elders now. Her daughter that she had just before becoming an elder is a young adult, in fact almost an adult and she just keeps truckin on. She works out daily on her own and makes lots of salads...lol. Maybe that's the key to a long life.

LMFAO sometimes it takes a while for them to...croak. Give it some time and they'll keel over. It took my elder FOREVER to die. I literally was just waiting day by day for them to die so I could move on with their kids. Lol

In TS3 when my elders would take forever to die (longer lifespan from completing lifetime aspirations, I believe) I would have to kill them myself. Purely for legacy/story purposes. It's time for the next generation to shine.

My personal favourite was drowning. >:) Of course, I'd have them make lots of meals to store in the fridge before I sent them swimming, because they usually had the highest cooking skill.

Death by Snu Snu does not work. Bob and Eliza Pancakes have been going at it like rabbits but they still truck along just fine.

Want to add a new generation to that household sometime soon :smile: They have gone jogging, yoga and all you can think off, if anything they seem to be more perky. Lol, hope I will be as active when I'm an elder. Time to rotate to a different household, will see if they are still around next time.

I had this happen. One of my elder sims got the long life trait after completing the athletic career, and still hasn't died to this day. They're on a normal lifespan. He's lived past his wife, and 2 children which died by old age.

Yes, elders do die in this game. But, it can take a while, even after you get that happy notice that granny is on her death bed. Impatient heirs need to wait. LOL The inheritance isn't yours until she's gone, after all. And, she may elect to spend it all on those great TV gadgets, you never know. MWAAHHAAAAA. >:)

But, seriously, I was anxious myself to have my Founder's wife die, since she aged up to Elder on their wedding day — conveniently just after their vows were said. :s I'm glad we now have a way to ascertain the Sims' age stage, at least. This could have helped my poor ill-fated Legacy Challenge, greatly. So, I did something I rarely ever do in this game. I had my Founder cheat. He needed heirs after all and since his 'old Lady' really was an old lady! I really didn't have too many choices. It was either start all over again, or find a way for heirs. (If you ask me, Maddie, brought it on herself, by lying to him in the first place, when they were dating.) I got the notice she wasn't long for the Sims' world, and they ended up fighting over the live-in mother of his two children. She went into the main floor bathroom and finally died.

Much later on both my Founder and his new wife (yes, he finally made an honest woman of her) died on the same day as each other. (How's that for true love?) Just hours apart. Then I had three ghosts who would prowl about the place. :*

Elders can be killed off with working out. Only make sure, that elder have drinked emotional potion from reward store.

wow ...I have had 2 sims die quickly after making them..literally died from laughter on his first date with his wife and right after I spent forever making him a cupcake store got him all cute with tats and all..he died right there on the spot from laughter.. had another sim I just loved an alien girl that died from embarrassment the second day of playing her..and your sim wont DIE....with all the love in the world I say to you.. I hate you :(

I've been trying to kill off my elder Founder Sims for a while now, ever since their life bars started glowing indicating they were done and ready for the Grim Reaper. The man died after only having him exorcise once, but my female founder just keeps ticking! She's actually slimmed down with all the exorcise. It's very frustrating. I want to make room in the house for when their grandchildren find spouses!

I've tried and tried and tried... had woohoo all day... had the "dangerously exhausted" moodlet with my elder husband 4 times... and still he won't die! AH!! My sim is still young! I want to move on already...
