My game has suddenly become extremely laggy.

Okay so I've removed the profile and save data for this game and rest the Xbox completely so we'll see if the lag stays away.

Nope, the lag came back almost immediately. This is bad because the game is almost unplayable. If I had epilepsy, I may not be able to play it in this state because of the jerking motions.

Interesting, I usually update graphics drivers once or twice a year.. this laptop is about 5-6 years old now.... Its working okay, but I havent noticed too much lag since the game is on a different drive which is ssd compared to HDD in laptop.

Yeah, I just finished doing that and so far, no lag. My storage was over 90% full. So yeah, could have been an issue. Lol

It's just interesting that it hit all of a sudden yesterday. You'd think if it was a storage issue it would have been going on for awhile.

@mcrudd Coincidentally, I had updated my graphics card drivers yesterday as I was having an issue with something else, I haven't checked yet to see if that helped with my Sims laggies. I'm glad you mentioned to check that though.

I hope it helped you, my game is running great now, so far every time I had an issue there was an update for my graphics card, I should learn to check it more often before my game goes all buggy on me, I lost a lot of gameplay the last time with the blue stop screen.

Another thing I’ve noticed can cause issue is too many notifications. It does become full eventually anyway but sometimes when my game randomly slows down and I clear those it fixes immediately. Also clearing before I go into BB mode fixed that lag a majority of the time.

I do get bad lag with fps in between 10-20 for no reason sometimes but based on some testing I think it’s a mod. I removed a few small mods and one larger mod and it still occasionally lags but it corrects itself which it wasn’t doing before. It would lag and the only fix was restarting the game. So check your mods fellow PC players.

Also fingers crossed OP that yours continues to work well. Lag is the worst.

I actually had to un update my Nvidia graphics driver (roll it back by a lot) to get my game working again after mws

game be kinda weird lately eh

also for people on pc check if you have vsync on cause that was somehow unticked on mine which caused most of the super jittery stuff
