My Sim died laughing - really

I had a sim die of either laughter or embarrassment. i can't remember.
It's when things were going very well in her life too. Her children were growing up. She was going to remarry since her bf had passed away a while back. Right when I had the whole family in the living room and was gonna have the new boyfriend propose, the woman died. *shakes head* now she's a ghost and the boyfriend is depressed hahaha. draaaaama.


EDIT: you know what, i do think it was embarrassment because if I remember correctly, after the whole family was in the same room, she peed herself and was so embarrassed. yep. silly sims.

I like to play an alter ego. Every Sims iteration there has been, I've made an alter ego. This time, he was criminal/painter/celebrity. Had the drone watching him and was painting pictures, then selling them, unless they are masterpieces. Those get hung on the wall. All of a sudden, he starts cackling, Grim Reaper shows up and he's dead. Just dumbfounded. Didn't even realize this was possible. Not ever used a mod for this game, but may start now so this doesn't happen again. More annoyed then angry. Why on Earth would EA allow this? Never thought I took this game that serious, but learning maybe it's there more than I care to mention. lol Anyways, glad to know it's not just me. SMH.

You actually can laugh yourself to death in RL. What happens, essentially is the laughter triggers a heart-attack. I finally suffered a double-whammy when I experienced my first emotional death in the game. I attempted to play the save forward, but my Global Superstar had lost his footing in the music world and was no longer getting bookings for concerts. Beyond that his fiancée proved less of a nurturer in helping him with his now orphaned twin nephews. To suggest things were going from bad to worse would be an understatement.

I'm thinking I may have tried to play this save longer, were it not for Erik's hard-worked for status being somehow annihilated. I'm not even sure how that happened. His sister and brother-in-law both died at the Charity Event Erik threw.

But, now I can say I've experienced it. I rolled back two game saves to where the twins were still infants. Erik's status is returned and so is his sister and brother-in-law.
