Lol this is a definitely a bug.

There is a cheat to clear up the other marriage. Turn on the testingcheats and then either right or left click on the sim who has the two spouses, you'll have an option to clear up the marriage issue. This was something that was patched in a while back by EA.

That clears all marriages though so both would be cleared.

The crazy part in all of this that the sims seem pretty content with sharing partners. They flirt with both and nobody gets jealous. Still a bit weird tho

The one I see in my game allows the sim to keep one of the marriages intact.

They have a polyamorous relationship! As long as no one gets mad or hurt!

That happened to me once, so I downloaded a mod just to quickly unmarry with one of the wives lol
