My Sim is Getting Fat!

Hey all!

So when I created my sim, she was slender, and now she's super plump. She's a level 10 cook in both gourmet and regular, but I've been having her make nothing but salads. She goes to the gym every night to work out, and I have her jog in her free time. It seems like she's getting bigger and bigger! She's not pregnant either. Her husband is getting a little round too, but he's managing to stay the same size, or lose little by little just from the "go jogging" option at their house. Is there a glitch, or am I doing it wrong? Every time I log in she gets bigger and I can't stop laughing at the effort I'm putting in to get her smaller. Maybe some sims have thyroid issues?

  • The bathroom mirror says change sim and you can recalibrate their size

I did an experiment with this. I started a save with a female sim who was the max body weight. Every day I had her eat nothing but regular salads and fruit salads. She worked out on the treadmill and went jogging. It only took a week to get her to max slender. I was a bit surprised because it seems like when I'm just playing my regular sims it takes forever to lose baby weight. Good luck!

Where did you get that picture(Avatar) of MY new puppy? LOL That's my Belle. LOL

As for the topic of this thread. You could earn enough points to have your Sim take the thin potion. OR, you can do what I do and take the family into cas.fulleditmode and fix her figure issues. :open_mouth:
  • I encountered this with a sim. The culprit in my case was that this sim kept partaking in food stalls when I played in different households (since this sim was in San Myshuno with the food stalls they would partake in food stalls constantly, especially when I played with other households in that neighborhood.) I had her use her aspirations for the insta-lean potion to remedy this (if I didn't have enough aspiration points for this I would've had to go into CAS and use some cheat codes to fully get her body back down).
  • I think sims get fat a little too fast. My sims never overeat, yet they are getting fat. Perhaps a little adjustment is necessary.
  • If you have the Kitchen Stuff pack, have the sim make some diet ice cream.
Or make 'weight of the world' if you want a bigger sim. (you don't have to use cheats this way and the sim loses/gains at a more realistic rate). :)
  • Have you ever heard of a fat vampire? Well you have now! I have this townie that I turned into a vamp, her name is Celia Mejia, and she was chosen as one of the many townies that will constantly go out to eat at restaurants whenever my played sims visit one. Since she had no negative reactions to the food, she always ate plenty. This in turn caused her to get fat and I tried my best to get her on a diet, by having sims who knew her invite her to the gym for exercises. This prompted her to exercise autonomously as well! She went down many pants sizes by the time I presume she reached max lvl in fitness. Of course that means that she no longer needed to exercise and guess what happened? She regained it all back, just like that. :frowning:
  • I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but there's a mod I use to get rid of the weight fluctuation.
