Didn't think of that. I moved him out of his house in the end and into a different one. That seemed to work.
I noticed that the small icon at the bottom of his Actions list (usually says if he's walking or sitting or whatever) it was stuck on Stop Sitting (Sitting with a cross through it) don't know if that had anything to do with it!
