The trailer was cute and entertaining but I get the feeling that a lot of this was staged. Taking this into actual gameplay I don't think that there is anything to suggest that Camille would get moodlets to let her know that her unlucky husband is not the one for her nor do I really feel that Dominique will *really* care about Camille marrying someone else. These Sims will just go through the motions as they always do.
I believe there will be a moodlet and a sentiment if a sim is left at the altar, but I wonder whether it will be a special sentiment or just hurt or something like that. I'd like to know if there will actually be an option to click "leave at the altar". I think non-committal sims can already do that autonomously and get a confident moodlet. Is Camille non-committal? I agree that there probably won't be a way for a sim to think they are marrying the wrong person :/
There is apparently an option to leave at the alter already in game. I'd like to know if this pack helps expand on that but I very much doubt it at this stage. The blog does mention "Wants and Nots" so I think there will be tense/sad moodlets like "These aren't the flowers I like!" If you get what I mean but overall I don't think there will be anything deep to suggest that Camille would prefer to be with Dominique outside what the player specifically directs.
Hopefully there will be extra sentiments that come with it which run deeply ie how will Dominique react to being "Sim of Honour"? Will she just have a moodlet which runs off the back of the interaction or will there be a deeper running sentiment that her "bestie" picked her? Unfortunately I think it may be the former....
Its hard to explain but I hope that makes sense?
Oh that's true, it seems the option is under the mean interactions. I had no idea!
It makes sense  It sounds plausible that sims get tense/sad moodlets from choosing bad flowers and cake. I wonder could the moodlets or the overall success of the wedding arrangements impact on sims and perhaps a sim that is tense/sad could be more likely to refuse to marry. Yet it should also matter how good relationship the sims have. And yeah, some kind of attraction system that gives deeper relationships or one sided relationships would be great and bring it to the next level, I totally agree. It's sad that it seems unlikely that there will be one. - Wrenry4 years agoRising Rookie

I honestly don't think the world looks that good...

Maybe I just wanted better graphics and different assets.
It’s mixed with me. On one hand it is a new world. On the other it’ll probably be tied with Del Sol Valley for the least residential lots available. "logion;c-18053043" wrote:
I think the best way to summarize how I feel is... This is probably a good pack if you have a lot going on in your game already, now your sims can travel to a new world and get married and then you can go back and play other packs.
But if you are going to play just this pack, nothing else, because it's new. Then I think the magical part of watching a wedding will get tiring very quickly... Weddings are nice, but not 10 weddings in a row.
For me it is important that the pack is versatile, multi purpose. I can see for example that if the obligatory sitting is connected to the specific chairs they are sitting on, the action can be used in a TV studio, or a lecture or someother event that demands Sims sitting down and listening. But if it is connected to some massive wedding item...- friendsfan3674 years agoSeasoned Newcomer

I just want my sims to stop randomly flirting with strangers and thereby wrecking their relationships... for me that would be the most romantic addition possible.
you can do it now if you have mc comand center,i'm weird cause wiyhout stuff like that my sims would be well the way that i write them a haved. i had to get mc cause my sim as a dr and her patients kept getting away. i know theirs mistakes in the post .coffee is still at amazon. - KaraGaelford4 years agoSeasoned AceThank you for the information @friendsfan367
I've been trying to stick with the vanilla game for a while now, because its a pain to update mods, but this issue might tempt me back. - Joanne_Snow4 years agoLegendYo sims team, why is it so hard for you people to make proper stores
Idk this theme has never excited me much, but I would've been down for a romance GP - with like online/speed dating, more romantic interactions, an attraction system, expanded family relationships (coz it kinda fits the theme, coulda been patched in), slow dancing, some wedding stuff (but not only). This is just one more example of this team hyperfocusing on a single thing, and probably still failing to deliver on a lot of gameplay fronts. It's just - we have parties, we have food, we have drinks. I don't see a lot that is NEW here. Except couple dancing - and thank god kids can dance too. But yeah dancing alone does not a pack make eh.
I'll hold out on my final judgement until after the live stream but so far I'm on the meh side of the excitement scale. - EmmaVane4 years agoSeasoned Ace

The thing I can't get over is this is an add on to what has always been in the game, the wedding.
So it's just weird to me to pay for something that's always been free, part of the sims. But that's been the way of Sims4 for years now. But talk about milking it.
I hate the stalls instead of a real shop you walk into and try on the outfit. We've had it before so we know it's possible, yet they refuse to include it.
Having watched it a couple of times, the trailer was odd. Jilting the poor groom at the altar for your friend? Really.
The world is the only thing that excites me but pretty sure it will be tiny.
As @LiELF points out we can't get sims to stay seated in Dine Out, something they've never fixed so my hopes aren't high on guests actually staying in place.
Every iteration of the game has expanded the gameplay of BG features at some point, and has done it multiple times with some features.
Take Gardening for example. Originally showed up in EPs for the first two games and wasn't expanded on any further. With TS3 it was added to the base game and expanded upon with packs (and Store) content. In TS4 BG Gardening was expanded in the pre-Seasons patch, and nearly every non-Kit pack since OR has added to it in some way. - EmmaVane4 years agoSeasoned Ace

I do like the game pack.
My main complaint is that it would’ve been a perfect time to add matchmaking or online dating. Someway to find single sims a partner.
Oh and also a chemistry/attraction system (though for me this makes most sense as a base game update)
I use the Club system to find potential matches for sims.- Set up a club with your single sim.
- Set a name, icon, meeting place and make the club invitation only.
- Set up any requirements such as ages, money, traits* etc. (ignore it saying you don't qualify for now).
- Set at least 1 activity (Be Friendly, at least, plus any others you want to use).
- Add sims, picking from the list by whoever you find attractive.
- If no sims show to pick from, then try again later (sims don't show when busy working etc).
- If no sims show repeatedly, consider whether your requirements are too strict and adjust as necessary.
- If no sims show to pick from, then try again later (sims don't show when busy working etc).
- Remove any requirements that would cause your sim to be kicked out.
- Save and start a gathering to meet your potential suitors.
* Traits Requirements Note- If you select multiple at once, it works on an "either/or" method - So if you want someone who is creative, but you don't mind how they are creative, you could select multiple creative traits on that one slot.
- If you select a single trait on a slot, it works on a "must have" method - So if you specifically want a Neat sim for your Slob sim, this is how you would add the Neat trait.
Using both of the above example I would be choosing from Neat sims who were creative in some way so I could have Neat/Creative/???, Neat/Maker/???, Neat/Music Lover/??? etc. - Set up a club with your single sim.

While those are great ideas, my problems with using the club system for dating are:
I cannot control what sex/gender my Sims are flirting with, so no gay or straight clubs.
It does not replicate any actual attraction or revulsion and partner preferences.
I have to personally select which Sims are potential suitors instead of leaving it up to surprise from any Sim in my world.
For years I wanted to have clubs separated by gender, set to flirt with specific other genders and have them show up to club or bar lots, but when you set a club activity to "flirty", they just flirt with each other. Sexual identity has been specifically eliminated from the game. Even past games had it. Sims 4 doesn't like to recognize sex at all because, I can only guess, they're afraid it might hurt some feelings? So instead, it's going to pretend that sexuality doesn't exist at all. And using the "dating" feature is almost laughable. Sims just go to a public lot and ignore each other.
Because of this, it just makes the Wedding pack seem extremely superficial to me. What's the point of marrying off my Sims if they can't even choose an appropriate partner in the first place? I have a bazillion households full of singles running out of things to do. - Set up a club with your single sim.
