I have a whole save file just for events and I started a new sim in a new house and I've played for 4 sim hours and I haven't gotten a word about the new event? I know I couldn't play the Grim Reaper event and that broke my heart, why do some work for me and not others? The first one I couldn't partake in either but at least we did get those rewards afterwards. I have the icon on the top left but nothing happens. I did get the table thingy reward.
Have you tried to repair your game, Lizzychicago? I'm wondering if doing that would get the event to start working for you? I do hope it is just that easy. 🤞🏼😊
It's laggy for me, too. Every time new quests drop, there is a noticeable delay before the tasks get displayed. Traveling with my sims usually helps, sometimes it was as easy as giving a sim the "go here" command on the same lot. Wish I could give a real (reproduceable) solution.
I had to click on the plumbob beside the leaves. When I clicked on the leaves, it opened the event and I could claim the woodworking table. However, the event didn't start.
But when I clicked on the clear plumbob, it turned green, and I immediately got the quests.
