Maori Haka
What dances would you like to see our Sims doing
Well, since you asked...
Lets start with dance for couples.
Swing. It's made a huge comeback in the last couple of decades.

Tango.

Instead of the Highland dancing, how about a Cèilidh? Or a Cèili (as the Irish call it). It's partnered step dancing, but done as a group.

And then there's the English version, known as Old English Country Dances. (if you've ever seen an adaptation of any Jane Austen, it's the dances you'll see.) They're slower, and more stately than the previous styles.

Old English Country Dances have been danced for a very long time, they're often called The Playford Country Dances due to a dance book from the mid 1600's, but are believed to have been danced for at least 100 years prior.

Square dance is a modern adaptation of Old English Country Dances.
They use the same sets of steps, but you don't need to learn the individual dances.
And on the topic of adaptations...
American Tribal Style. It's an adaptation of middle eastern, north African, and Indian belly dance. Like square dance, it uses sets of steps, rather than requiring dancers learn an entire dance. It too is a dance for groups of dancers. Though typically danced by women, there are men who also dance.

Not that I'm adverse to Bhangra. It's apparently a warrior dance type, martial arts as a dance?
Which leads to...
Georgian folk dance.
Which can also be a combat dance.

Or a folk ballet.

And I guess I could throw in a Northern Aussie type dance... I don't mean the first part.
Meet Djuki Mala, previously known as the Chooky Dancers...
Watch it the whole way through, because it totally changes pace part way through.

Apparently Baker Boy was an original member of the group.
