So was wondering does everyone buy the never weary trait and never dirty, and all the other related traits or is it unrealistic for you?
I do as a way to make my sims be able to accomplish more without having to take care of needs when it really matters. An example... I have my sims needs full before a date. Then halfway through they need a nap, to pee, eat or whatever else is going to slow their progress down. Unlike somethings where time limits don't matter dates have specific objectives for the sim to accomplish in a given time limit or the date is unsuccessful. Besides, I see these as rewards we choose for completing aspirations and not as CAS traits.- mikamakimonNew SpectatorI got the never weary trait for my sims before the seldom sleepy trait was brought in. I wasn't exactly happy with this change as it took me a long time of legitimate play (ie. no cheats) to obtain this reward trait for my sims. After the change/patch, I no longer had the traits I intended for my sims. I didn't like that they never ever required sleep anymore, so I ended up using cheats to remove the never weary trait. Decided not to replace it with the seldom sleepy trait to make it more realistic, and more challenging, if my sims have their needs decay at a normal rate.
- I don't usually use any of the reward traits that affect needs. I do like Gym Rat, though. Makes hitting on people in the gym while working out easier.
- I haven't yet (started from a fresh install for Seasons and am a heavily rotational player this time around) but I would totally buy those rewards for the right Sim.
I've done Super Sim challenges in the past and will be starting from scratch on my new one whenever the urge strikes. - I’ve got the never hungry trait so my sim as to only eat once a day cause they seem to take so long to eat a meal.
- I have used the Never Tense a time or two. I think once it was for my journalist, who had to work all day, then for the Daily Task he had to interview folks on the streets. He was always too Tense to do it, and I didn't have time for him to take a long bubble bath, etc. Those interviews were very time consuming. :D
The Never Weary trait came in handy when I was having Clara Bjergsen stock a bakery I made. I just wanted to get it up and running, so she baked for 3 or 4 days straight. I did let her sample some of the goods, tho. :p - simsimsereRising ScoutOh I've also used Carefree a couple of times. Didn't think it counted for this list. I find it okay for very laid back characters.
- ldm2New SpectatorSome of mine have never weary, and it's useful at times, like when they're at a party or exploring the jungle, but it can also be bothersome at times, because then you have to keep finding ways to keep them occupied 24/7.
I always give them steel bladder, ever since in 3 when one of my sims peed herself while I had her out trying to meet the male sim I was hoping to pair her up with. Other than that I prefer to just cheat the household's needs up each morning, that way they're fine for work & school, and by the time they get home they're ready to eat & bathe & have their other needs tended to. - I do when they eventually get the points for it.
- I've never used them. I like the routine of them having to eat/sleep/whatever. Plus I save the game each sim night after all my sims are in bed and even though I could still do that when someone is awake it would probably drive me crazy to do so lol.
