This is excellent news ? What happens when you click the “Serve Tea to...” option? Does your sim hand a cup to another sim or do the other sim come and join your sim? Either would work for me, I’m just curious.
I've seen it in one of the reviews yesterday - your sim will go to other sim and offer him a cup. If a sim is in another room and/or floor your sim will make its way there. So if you do not want to break immersion you'll need to keep all sims around the tea tray.

I was hoping that my sim would in fact be able to offer a cup to another sim so this sounds great, though I can imagine that having to chase down the other sim in order to hand over the cup could get pretty frustrating rather quickly even if it would seem hilarious the first couple of times. Probably best to keep the sims close to the tray. Crossing my fingers it’ll become available as an activity for clubs as well.
