New Update: Neighborhood Stories

Well, this came sooner than I expected. I am so happy that we now have actual story progression, I was so tired of getting calls every day from people I didn't know. :cold_sweat:

Can't wait to see what part 3 of this will bring.

Wow! This is even better than I was hoping! I was most concerned about being able to shut it off, but the customization they've given us is actually enticing me to try it in a new save.

The variety of scenarios are finally starting to sound interesting to me ? I like the mischief ones.

I am getting ready to update my game now. Thanks for this update and cannot wait to try this out.

Edit: I wouldn't mind if active households can progress on their own without me controlling it at all, but that probably will never be added to this game, would be fun though; watch your sims do everything on their own and see what kind of drama happens (excluding the build buy part; that will be player controlled), but I am asking for too much so yea. lol

I am mostly fine with what I got but I'd be shocked if the active households got story progression. lol

Edit 2!: It is possible to do that in sims 3 though.

I'm pleased with the amount of customization that seems to be available, although I still have some trepidation about how well the toggles will actually work. I think I'm going to let other people test it out for a while before I open the game back up.

I got a notification from MCCC the other day that Alexander Goth had married the mother of a family I used to play. When I clicked on the Goth household she had indeed got married and moved in to the Goth household. Was this neighbourhood stories pre today’s update or MCCC marrying sims off?

Well, this sounds impressive. I hope it all works how it's meant to.

It is great to see so many customisation options, this is just what we need. And I will be amazed if there actually is a difficulty level for the scenarios as that is something I expressed a desire for a while ago.

Sigh, I only just came on the forums and it's too late for me to play tonight. Gonna have to wait til after work tomorrow ?

Being able to decide things down to individual households, to decide how much I wish to be in control of different households, is great! I will not patch straight away, want to see how it works first and try to get an idea how I will approach this.

How I think that my rotational setup will be:
- Main family is all mine.
- The families that I usually rotate into will perhaps have the freedom to move around.
- Other families will have the freedom to move around, have careers any way they want.
- Haven't decided on how to deal with accidents and death yet. Probably turn it on for single sims when they turn adult. Just want to make sure that accidents won't leave a kid without parents in the household.
- I will handle the addition of all kids because making sims in CAS is fun.
