New World Plot Sizes - Are you kidding me!?!?!?

Why on earth have the new world's largest plot sizes occupied by a family? Seriously? Cottage Living has a single 64 x 64 plot, and the Watson family owns it. Tartosa has a single 50 x 50 plot and ...

20 x 30 appears to be standard procedure for empty lots regardless of 'world'. The only exception that comes to mind is every lot is blank Newcrest.
