I think they save werewolves for the end. Granted we dont have open worlds but we do have searching for collectibles. Also if they were to introduce them they would definitely make them enemies with vampires. They do care to make things work with other packs as long as it makes a lot of sense. They did make spellcasters gain the medium skill faster and they allowed for pets to become familiars.
I do agree that fairies are coming. It seems sort of obvious to me. The survey they did back in they even referenced a hidden world while the gurus refer to the new type of sim as something cute, which makes total sense in the case of fairies.
