So based on the image and wording, I'm leaning now towards Ghost Hunter, perhaps with some elements of Psychic thrown in for aesthetics (which is all the Psychic I need to set up my con artist sims...)
I thought that they would make the grim reaper career too, they even included a grim reaper doll in the Nifty Knitting pack.
But I think they went with Psychic, that's what the outfit looks like to me, that could also explain the weird looking ghosts and "let the investigation begin".
