The thing I'm thinking is that if Sims 4 is going to last a lot longer than previous Sims versions -- @SimGuruGrant says they have years of content to come, and that's over 4 years into the game -- I think they don't have to put everything fame-related into a this pack. They can use that space to make a better fame system and a better acting career than ever before. And they can use the space of another pack to make a better band system than ever before (though I really wonder how you could get a band system to work well and be able to play more than one person in a given band... I suspect that, at least would work), and people with Get Famous could leverage the fame system with it. And they can use the space of yet another pack to make a full fashion design and modelling system, maybe with some CAS management and the like. Packs can do fewer things better instead of trying to be everything, if the game doesn't have to end in a year.
(And I know, packs haven't always done that well, but that's mostly on early pack, IMO.)
