Not able to sleep….

This sounds like a glitch to me, I remember experiencing a bug where Sims don't go to sleep, they immediately wake out of bed (though it's been a while since I experienced this bug). This is usually remedied by Reset Object debug or exiting the game and reloading it.

Some things do actually prevent Sims from sleeping. From what I know, radios and TVs being turned on in the same room can prevent Sims from sleeping.

I restarted and it seems to be working again. Now I can’t cue up a whole bunch of use bathroom (the public bathrooms) thing. Must just be a glitch.

just reset your sim

I had the same thing. All my sims were going to nap on their couch. I bought them all new beds and re-assigned them and they began to sleep in their own beds again.
