Don't hear many people complaining about them being added to unrelated packs, what people are however complaining about is that they are seemingly incomplete and have nothing to do.
They could easily keep adding them to packs and people would be fine with it for the most part /if they had better gameplay options and things they could do beyond existing/
But they don't, and occults in general don't even acknowledge each others existence, I'm still imaging how they could have added things like a spellcaster vs vampire magic duel, but I don't see that ever actually happening, or anything even vaguely like that happening in general.
It's not a problem having a realism pack with occult things tacked on, it's a problem having seemingly unfinished to flat out stale things hyped up so that occult players will get excited for a pack they may not get otherwise only to be incredibly disappointed by what they got, which mermaids are a huge example of.
Most people were excited for island living and it did add a couple of nice things, but seriously.. mermaids don't even get a transformation animation.. it's literally *poof-mermaid* *poof-not-mermaid*
