While I personally don't mind the delay as I use my conversationtweak to fix the issue anyway, it still is a bummer for Simmer's who can't or won't use mods. This bug basically makes it impossible for your Sim to talk to others Sims unless you switch autonomy off.

But the socials go through fine if the autonomy is off, yes? If so, that may just have to be the fix for mod-less players. I know not everyone cares for that kind of multitasking gameplay but you gotta make with what you got, unfortunately.
