So i jsut found out that ocean swimming is confined to sulani personally i didn't expect them to update the other worlds since one of the guru's confirmed that it would break the saves you have before the update. With this being said i do really really hope that upcoming worlds will have the ability to swim in the ocean since the coding is now here because i also want a of beach like brindleton bay. I really hope that they will do this i don;t expect it for all of the upcoming worlds but hopefully for like 1 or 2

I'm okay with that. Although it would have been nice to have swimming on the island in Windenburg, or the beach in Brindleton Bay. So long as other future worlds have it, along with Vacation destinations, I'm good.

I want them to go back and update past worlds! I hope they do! Even the sand in these beaches will look wrong since sims won't leave the foot prints on it.

I'm okay with that. Although it would have been nice to have swimming on the island in Windenburg, or the beach in Brindleton Bay.

So long as other future worlds have it, along with Vacation destinations, I'm good.

yeah i feel like there are multiple types of beaches and i really want one where you could just go for a day with the family i also just read that they haven't ruled out making the other worlds oceans swimmable and if thqat is the case woowww that would be amazing. I figure I have to travel to a beach town irl, lol. I don't expect every town, community, or area to have swimmable water fronts.

To only have the water swimmable in one world is immersion breaking. It will be very disconcerting after swimming in the ocean not to be able to do it in other worlds. Once again, they almost gave us what we wanted then failed to fully deliver.

I read that that may break older saves though. And I have a save ongoing for years. I wouldn't want to lose it all.

Yeah someone had said hat but apparently they misheard because it’s not actually ‘confirmed’. They’re still thinking about it, but not actually working on it like what was said.

if you go to simsvip there is talk about updating them maybe they have found a way to do it without breaking saves. I mean they did it for seasons so i hope that they can do it with oceans

It was never suggested by anyone at Maxis that it would break saves. The save-breaking was related to changing how buildable lots were coded to make it possible to have multiple household live on one lot. A lot of people seem to have taken this to mean that any change to existing worlds would break saves.
