Saying that those sari belts look like chastity belts is like saying a person who wears a pair of lovely woolly mittens is in fact wearing a pair of brass knuckles.
I suppose it depends on how big the mittens are, naturally, but let’s say we’re looking at someone who’s NOT hiding any knuckle dusters under their mittens. What if it’s just mittens? And then another person comes along and says:
“Oh no. No no. You can’t trust a person wearing woolly mittens. They’re sending out a different message. They’re not there to keep their hands warm you see. They’re there to scare ya! With their mittens. ‘Cause really those are brass knuckles! ”I’m just not getting the point you’re making, but if it is simply a matter of taste I’m able to understand it better.
