Sims' friends asking for advice

So, you know how your sims' friends will call to ask if they should be friends with another sim, go on a date with another sim, try for a baby, etc? I pretty much always say to go for it. When they follow up with how it went, it is always positive. Like, they became friends with the sim, the date went well, and so on. Have you ever had a negative follow up? For example, if you tell the sim to go on the date with whoever, and they follow up saying that the date went terribly. I'm just wondering if it's even possible.

  • That’s a good question. I’m the same as you - I almost always say go for it, no matter what it is. I have no idea if there could be a negative outcome or not. I’m curious to see what other replies this is gonna get, and I’m sorry I can’t shed light on the question.

  • I always say no to babies because in my game it's usually a sim that has 3-4 kids already. I'm not tying to turn every household into The Brady Bunch. Sometimes I turn down friendships and dating but I always get positive results when I do accept.

  • I get a kind of negative response when I've said no actually, which I find a bit strange tbh. When a friend has asked about going on a date with someone and I've said no I get a message later saying something like "so it turns out me and so and so weren't meant to be" and my Sim gives a "sorry to hear that" response. I find that a bit strange because they didn't go on a date because I said no.

I've also had a relationship decline after refusing to give an opinion and selecting the option to tell the calling Sim that they should make up their own mind. I got a notification from the Sim that it wasn't helpful to them. I can't remember the specific words but their friend wasn't happy with them at all and the relationship dropped when I checked. So I no longer tell them to decide for themselves if it's an important friendship.

  • i can relate, i almost always say yes no matter what but maybe it's because i'm more of like a "big family" gameplayer kind of type
