I'm also afraid of the update when it comes to mods. I am confident of mccc being updated fairly soon. But I have a mod to allow additional spells for spellcasters. The original creator is not very active. I might have to say goodbye to that mod. I will play a temporary test family for a little while to see if the mod gets updated.
@GalacticGal I hope your save goes well. A temporary save until your mod is updated could be a solution.
Could you let me know what you found the discussion about the mods?
This morning I took the time to back up my
entire Sims4 folder to a flash drive. It just completed, so I checked it. All seems to have transferred over. Phase one is done. Now, that I have a copy of it. I will put some of what that YouTube link put into action, by dividing saves and placing each of them into two separate Sims4 folders. I was scared out of my mind to do it yesterday, worrying that I would once again mess things up. LOL Now that I have a copy safeguarded and
removed from my computer, I think I can go ahead and 'experiment' in safety. Part of me wants to go forward without the mods, just to see if that was behind some of my wedding woes. And, if I have to go vanilla for a time, why not get myself used to it, right? I just have to move enough of that save over so the game reads it. I've tried just moving one Save As save over in the past and nothing happened. :open_mouth: I wanted the setup without having to spend the time recreating it. I went in and grabbed the first Save As and once I put that into the new 'save' all was well. This is the one I'm currently playing. I think if I do that again, I can play it vanilla and I'll just mark the other one as Modded. Wish me luck.
I know I'm running short on time with this being Saturday, but I will need to keep myself occupied while I await Growing Together. I have a wedding scheduled, set that up yesterday. Even spent time seeking and readying another wedding venue. I decided to go with something new, this time. I liked what I did when I left it, but this morning I'm bugged, already, about just how small and squishy the church is. I shall have to take another look. I've yet to have any Sims in it. I might have the couple go check it out, you know?
