i wanted to make a community lot with a Cinemaso i downloaded one from the Gallery & it is set for Generalwhich results of course in no sims using that lot aside from those i am directing or the current club, it feels & actually is totally emptywhat are your experiences with a Cinema on community lots ?does it function at all somewhere ?do i have to use mods to make it better work maybe ?thanks in advance :smile:

Cinemas work fine in bars and parks! The big screens from movie stuff are great for building beautiful halls for the audience.

My theater is an outside that I got from the gallery. It was under park, but I put it on a bigger lot and put in a pool also. usually they don't watch movies unless my sim is but I have also put it in bar venue and they do come and go.

mine use both just fine, bar and movie

5-7 in the venue, 3-4 sitting at bar

I like my cinema's in Cafe's. Just add a popcorn maker, and you can have a "snack bar" and a movie theater. :)

On what sort of a community lot does a Cinema work best for you ?

how does it work in a bar ?

do the sims prefer to use the screens or the bar to order drinks ? or do they use both ?

I have mine set as a bar ! I find that the sims mainly gravitate towards the bar to drink, but they will pop into the theatre rooms and watch movies occasionally. I may build a non accessible basement and put the bar there just to fill the requirements because I really don't think need it in my theatre lol ! Still hoping they add a theatre venue type one day

I built one upstairs from a café, and set up a club that goes to the movies, so there's often other Sims there, not just mine.

Sims are programmed to order drinks, watch tv and listen to music at bars I think. So bars work OK as cinemas (even though not all sims in the lot will be watching the movies).
