(Oops, they are aliens.) Aliens not having alien babies

How do you know they're not alien? Perhaps, they donned their disguises instantaneously …

You certainly would expect two aliens to have an alien child — are you quite certain BOTH parents are alien? There are all kinds of combinations that come to mind. Sometimes you can have two light skinned Sims having a very, VERY dark skinned infant. I've read where others recommend waiting until the baby morphs into a toddler. If the skin is still 'off', take them into cas.fulleditmode and fix it. This makes me wonder if it's a similar glitch you've run into.

@rosemow is there any one else complaining of aliens having non-alien children? Is this a glitch?

Yep, I'm certain both parents are alien, but the babies are very much newborn, like an hour, so maybe they DID quickly hide their alien-ness. I just didn't know they could. Hmm. I shall wait until they morph into toddlers. :) Thanks for your answer.

I have never had a pure blood alien with a pure blood alien not having an alien child. I have seen many a non-alien sim with the alien skintones. I would first verify that both of the sims are actual aliens, by making sure they can disguise self.

Babies do not have disguises. They appear in the crib with their alien skintone, toddlers can then put on a disguise when aged up.

Hm, the aliens have learned to adapt. They may no longer need to wear disguises in a couple of generations. They simply can change their skin tones to better fit in. My born in-game alien twins were lavender in color.

I was expecting them to be some odd colour as well, but these are so awesome. Nice surprise for my gaming day. :smiley:
