If everything is looked at in a logical way, then there were three to four things people wanted when it came to a Seasons' EP. To see the snow and the thunderstorms. Everyone here knows that's true. The other things were to know Sims could finally swim in other bodies of water (summer) than a pool, and overheat or get a sunburn. Those are the staples of a Seaons EP. Was it more gardening no, we already had gardening so what was everyone looking forward to after all in a Seasons pack? Snow and Rain. Because we already had endless summer. It's like fall without any leaves piling up. So, let's list what everyone was looking forward to:
1. Snow
2. Rain/storms
3. Sunburns and over heating/sweating
4. Leaf Piles and changes of the trees
5. Swimming or surfing somewhere other than pools.
No where is gardening at the top of the list since so many already had gardening. Does it deliver those five things? Not hardly.
You definitely bring up some great points. Cannot argue with your list, for sure.
I'm just hoping that #5 at least presents itself in a future vacation pack.
I would have added one more. For spring time I would have spawned a lot of those weed flowers we get all over the lawns and Sims would have to mow those down. lol When the grass is coming back and we get a lot of spring showers here, there are all those little yellow or white weeds. It makes mowning a real chore all the way up to summer when they die out and don't come back with summer thunderstorms.
Haha you are asking for punishment there! I have to deal with those in real life...don't know if I can take weeds in the sims too! Though mowing the lawn would be kind of cool haha. I def remember cutting the hedges in one of the sims games!
Well, for those who couldn't handle all the weed mowing, they could ask Jasmine for Weed Be Gone and not have to deal. :p
Slightly off topic (though Seasons related) but as for weed, I’ve discovered I do like that, but in a quick way. I’m playing Animal Crossing atm and whenever I see weed I jump up, send my character there and swoosj. Never thought I would (I don’t in TS 2 and 3) but I like it. For me that’s enough. I don’t need an endless chore of a character sitting on their knees doing an animation endlessly till it’s finally out, then to the next. I just like the idea of a world or garden polluting when you don’t do anything about it, but this ‘anything’ shouldn’t last half a sim day or more.
Yes, I might be getting a little off topic but Seasons bring things we all have to deal with and other than the theromstat in Seasons I haven't heard anything about actual Seasons and weather changes causing these Sims any problems. Like the snow too deep to go to work or school like in the other games. ETA: Point, I would have to laugh if they call a snow day for school in that little amount of snow in this pack.
