All of these are just my opinion, I just want y'all to know that I'm just being optimistic on this EP.
But it doesn't mean the fact that others should do too. I noticed that almost all of the people here are attacking me or disagreeing with me.
No one is attacking you and its okay if people disagree. That is what having a healthy discussion is about. Not everyone is going to agree with everyone on this forum and that's okay. We all see and play our game differently.

But the actual simulation of snow gradually layering up is surely has something to do with performance.
After I read an article about snow has always been a challenge in the sims franchise (I even posted this article here in the forums)
I concluded that:
Sims 2 has snow depth but it only applies on lots, not the whole neighborhood. (cause anything outside your lot is empty unlike 3 and 4)
Sims 3 's snow depth has been poorly executed and has always been buggy to most of the people. (people who don't have good PCs)
Sims 4 may not have snow depth, but the article said that it has been the best snow detail in the sims yet. ( I agree to this one)
This is all opinion because the fact of the matter still remains that the lead producer, himself, came out and told the community why snow depth was not added:

Folks: While we make a lot of decisions to improve and optimize performance on a wide range of PCs, our decision regarding deep snow was not due to performance. Be nice to each other.
In all due respect, I don't know what could be more obvious than that.
ETA: Apart of me doesn't want to accept that the reason for not adding deep snow had to the visuality of it. But it is what it is. We can only take Grant's word for it that it had nothing to do with performance.
