The article uses an example of an indeed annoying glitch in Sims 3 as if it’s a general problem with snow in the game but it’s not. I’ve only encountered it in Bridgeport and the world used here apparently has it too. It seems one of the tropical worlds? Not Sunlit Tides because I haven’t seen it there, is it IP (it never snowed in IP in my game because I just don’t find it suitable there)? Anyway, the fact snow had occasional glitches in the previous games doesn’t prove ‘performance’ was the reason to choose flat snow this time around.

I must add I am not against their Sims 4 approach per se by the way. Even when I do like sims sinking away in it, it had its silly moments.
