Graham specifically called this site out on Twitter for using an unsupported GPU when taking these pictures. Are we faulting Sims 2 for the shadow boxes caused by newer, unsupported graphics cards? Frankly the fact the article was not updated with a disclaimer that reads “these screenshots were taken using an unsupported GPU. Your experience WILL differ” makes it a rather gaudy, unbelievably slanted article.
In response to your OP about the complicated code, these people coded the game. If they can’t figure out how to code a product that they created themselves... well then I think that says all that needs to be said.
