Yeah, I agree OP. It really annoys me that my self-employed Sim keeps getting a whim to get a job. My Sim owns a restaurant, a vet, & retail shop. I wont' put her in a career. They should have a self-employment option or something to satisfy whatever makes that whim keep coming back, over and over again.
