I'm hoping there is some bug fixes that haven't been included in the patch notes. It's disappointing to see no fix for the cooking instead of grabbing left overs, the resetting plants and others equally as annoying.
Heck would even take eating sitting out on the counter instead of making a new meal fix. It looks like a buffet in the kitchen as everyone serves their own meals.
There's a mod from littlemssam (i hope i wrote it well) that fixes that bug. It's on her/his small random mods. I've already tested it after the patch and it still works perfectly.
It annoys me greatly that a something a modder considers to be small/random manages to fix a bug that EA hasn't yet figured out how to fix after half a year. I also haven't played since Eco, because gardening and cooking are significant parts of my gameplay. On the positive side, I've used the money I would have spent on TS4 packs to repurchase all but two of my favorite TS3 packs. I'm having a blast with it -- I forgot how much fun it was.- Hello guys! So, no major breaks? Can I assume that is safe to install the new patch? :#

@SueT Have you tried deleting the gamevesion.txt file in your The Sims 4 folder in Documents? Apparently it can get corrupted and that causes it to refuse to load mods. Sims 4 will recreate it if its missing. - Does anyone have any tips for triggering fear? I still haven't had a single sim scared

Two things are for sure - outside in thunderstorms, and the Vines in Strangerville (if you have Strangerville)

I had a sim get a scared moodlet from a thunderstorm but sadly it was over powered by another emotion so I saw no actual reaction to it. - LiELF4 years agoLegend

The patch isn’t great for me so far. I’ve tried three times to send my Sim to the Romance Festival, and my game crashed all three times.
Edit: Ugh, I tried sending him to a different location in San Myshuno, and it crashed a fourth time!
I pulled out all my mods and repaired my game again. It still crashes in San Myshuno, specifically the Fashion District.
New information: This bug is getting weirder! It kept crashing when I tried to send a Sim from Windenburg to the Fashion District, so this time I tried playing a Sim who lives in the Fashion District. The game started in Windenburg! Still with no mods in the folder. Then when I tried to send him home, the game crashed yet again.
Another Edit: Aha! Apparently it's a known issue for my computer. I just read this: "San Myshuno seems to be a particularly problematic world to play in causing frequent crashes."
Yet Another Edit: The fact that they know about it doesn't mean I can fix it. I can't play in San Myshuno. :,( - greenean714 years agoNew VanguardI am not looking forward to the patch. It is currently downloading and I am afraid to see what it does to my game. I am tired of patches breaking one thing after another. Now we get more emotions which aren't needed as Sims have too many to deal with. I am so tired of dealing with the newer "sentiments" from the last patch that has messed up some of my relationships in the game because the "one Sim was mean to another Sim" and that one Sim gets sad or angry because of it and it never goes away. They hold that grudge toward the other Sim for their entire life.
Please EA stop messing with the emotions in the game. There are enough already and Sims are bad enough going from very angry to happy within a split second. I don't need a Sim being in "fear" and screaming because of it. It's bad enough when they are "sad" and all they do is cry or when they sleep they just keep whining. Maybe fix what's broken in the game first instead of adding more stuff. Just a thought.
