Actually, that would be a pretty nice change. Outside of school, it's seldom that I see teens or children sitting at a table to do anything. They usually choose a rug, a bed, or a comfy chair.
After twenty years, the Sims are still so stiff and confined. To my knowledge, if the seats are occupied, they still can't sit on the floor to play a video game, watch television, or hold a conversation (a mod for TS2 was able to accomplish this, though). They don't throw a leg over the arm of the chair when speaking on the phone or reading a book.
In TS4, it's worse than ever. Female Sims don't so much as cross their legs anymore.
It's those little details that I would love to see in the next game. TS5: the Sims finally loosen up!
