Peer into Soul
Hello,
I did a little research into the "Peer into Soul" interaction that you can use by having a Sim be reborn with the Burning Soul Trait.
I wanted to know which traits you are able to keep. I didn't find much googling, so here are my findings for everyone else. Traits you CAN keep:
- All reward store traits.
- Any aspiration Reward trait (including Child and Teen aspirations)
- Any bonus trait from picking an aspiration (Quick Learner, High Metabolism, etc.) (the ones Sims can "Pass Down" with the Soul's Journey)
- Traits from After School Activity: Scouting Aptitude, Chess Master, Cheer Champion, Star Player, L33t Hacker
- Character Value Reward traits (These are not claimable as a teen, but become claimable as soon as you become young adult) (Responsible, Manners, etc)
- University Degrees (including Mixology Certificate). You can claim them as a Teen, they become fully functional as a Young Adult. (also remembers if you got them with honors). Fully functional in starting careers at a higher level.
- Top notch infant & toddler
- Certain other traits: Authentic Prankster, Self Esteem, The Knowledge, Seasoned Gamer
Traits that did NOT transfer:
- Inheritable traits: Sulani Mana, Ancient Spellcaster, Greater Wolf Blood, Father Winter's baby
- Immortal from the Magic Potion
- Mental Magister (Brainiacs in University)
- Werewolf Ally
- High School Graduation status
- Any Spellcaster perks or spells
My supersim was in progress and did not have every trait, he had nothing from the career reward traits.
For any of the traits that have levels or opposites (Character Value, Top Notch Toddler) i did not test if you can earn a different version of the trait and then claim the other version, making you have two traits that were previously exclusive to each other. Might be possible.
Once i learned the inheritable traits were not actually inherited (ironic is it not), i slightly lost interest, since it makes Super Sim Challenges with reborn sims kinda weird.
I hope someone finds this information useful.
